Letter, 31 December 1861, from [J.H.?] Coleman, at the Ladies Relief Hospital in Lynchburg, Virginia, to his family. Coleman is working at the hospital and while the bulk of his letter is in regards to sending and receiving mail, he also writes about the kindness of Mrs. Lucy Otey and staff at the hospital. He also writes of his hopes of finding a substitute.
