Spoon, silver serving, 1873-1905
Title
Spoon, silver serving, 1873-1905
Description
A silver plated serving spoon with a scalloped pattern owned by the Hutter family. The back silver mark reads “Mermod & Jaccard & Co”. The Mermod and Jaccard Company began in 1864, but did not use “Mermod & Jaccard & Co” as a hallmark on the back of their spoons until 1873. They changed their name to Mermod & Jaccard & King & Co in 1905. So this spoon most likely dates between 1873 and 1905.
